Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at sunrisetheatreli@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Every student that auditions will be cast in the production, provided they are able to attend all performances and have minimal rehearsal conflicts.  The initial audition takes place in front of the creative team (director, musical director, choreographer), where the student will be asked to sing approximately one minute of an age-appropriate song.  This could be any song the student knows, including anything from a previous show they have been in.  It is important that the student brings sheet music so the musical director can play for their audition.

After initial auditions take place, students are invited to participate in callbacks.  This is a more specific audition, where students are placed into groups and asked to sing/read excerpts from the show.  We strive to make this experience educational and supportive, rather than a source of competition among students.

Returning Students: $450.00 (includes digital download of the performance and a souvenir script (for Elementary and Middle School students only)

New Students: $495.00 (includes digital download of the performance and a souvenir script (for Elementary and Middle School students only)

Sibling Discount: A 10% discount will be applied to the second sibling’s participation fee.

Payment is due in full at the first scheduled rehearsal.

Most rehearsals will take place at the Sunrise Studio, located at 34 Forest Ave. in Lynbrook.  The standard rehearsal schedule is as follows:

Performance venues vary each season, but typically rotate between Lynbrook High School, St. Raymond's School, Bellmore Movies and Showplace, and Sunrise Studios (high school  groups only).
